About Our Products
Who creates your products?
All pieces are handcrafted by our artisan, Ajay, who has over 20 years of woodworking experience. Every design is made in our Melbourne studio.
What materials do you use?
We work with locally sourced, reclaimed Australian messmate timber, finished with linseed oil to enhance the wood’s durability and natural character. Our accent tables feature tempered glass for resilience and elegance.
Are your products suitable for outdoor use?
Our pieces are designed for indoor use only.
Can I commission a custom piece?
Currently, we focus on limited-edition collections. However, you are welcome to contact us at info@grained.com.au with special requests, and we’ll see if we can help.
How do your limited-edition ‘drops’ work?
We release small, curated collections of new designs throughout the year. Each collection offers a fresh perspective, ensuring our pieces remain exclusive and timely.
Ordering and Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
Through our payment partner Stripe, we accept VISA, Mastercard, EFT, ApplePay, and Afterpay. All payments are processed in Australian dollars.
Can I revise my order after it has been placed?
Once processed or shipped, changes may not be possible or could incur additional fees. For assistance, please contact us at info@grained.com.au.
What happens if an item I order is out of stock?
In the unlikely event that an item you’ve ordered is unavailable, we will contact you to provide updates on expected delivery dates or offer alternative options. You also have the option to join a waitlist for the item.

Where do you ship your products?

What are the delivery costs?
Regular Shipping
Incurs a flat rate of A$20 for Metro deliveries
Cost for high freight/rural deliveries may require additional fees

When will my order be shipped?
As our pieces are handcrafted, processing and delivery times may vary. For in-stock items, processing typically takes 2–4 business days, with delivery within 5–10 business days. For out-of-stock items, processing usually takes 5–10 business days, with delivery completed within 15–20 business days.
Can I track my order?
Yes, once your order is shipped, we’ll provide tracking information so you can monitor its progress.
Can I pick up my order from your studio in Melbourne?
At this time, we are unable to offer studio pickups.
How is my order packaged?
Your order will arrive in protective packaging designed to preserve the integrity of the piece/s during transit.
Issues with Your Order
What if my order arrives damaged?
Please email us at info@grained.com.au immediately with photographic proof attached if your order arrives damaged. We will work with you to resolve the issue.
What if I haven’t received my package?
If your package hasn’t arrived, please email us at info@grained.com.au within 7 days of the expected delivery date.
How do I return an item?
Refunds are only available for faulty or incorrect items. We do not offer refunds for change of mind or for timber character variations. For returns, please contact us at info@grained.com.au.

Caring for Your Product
How do I care for my grained piece?
To maintain the beauty of your product, clean with a soft, damp cloth and avoid harsh chemicals. For timber pieces, periodic conditioning with a natural wood oil is recommended.
